Dear Reader,
A little over a year ago I started this column as a space to share What I Put On Today (the official name of this substack even though it’s technically under my name). Thank you for reading this newsletter.
I originally started this column as a space to share links and more information on things I like to wear or use in my life (instagram links and stories expire in 24 hours which is not helpful for anyone) and that is the area I’m going to focus back on in 2024. I’ll be spending the next year in airports, and on planes and trains, with quite a few Ubers and taxis in between. I’ll be parenting my 5 year old daughter and growing a company.
I don’t know the right or wrong way to do a substack newsletter anymore and I can tell you that after many hours of trying to figure out how this column fits into my daily life I was more confused than ever. So I’m going to keep this simple by going back to where this substack started.
Welcome to What I Put On Today 2024 (an anecdotal substack about how fashion fits into our lives, and the case of this column, my own).
As usual, I’m going to remind you that you probably don’t need anything in this email. But if you’re looking for something similar, perhaps this column may help you find it, or send you in a new direction altogether.
Thoughts or questions? See you in the comments section. Recommendations? Please share it with all of us in our chat thread!
As always, you can reach me directly at Meg@ShopDorsey.com.
All my very best (and talk soon),
Meg Strachan

Where: 6 am, January 3rd, Los Angeles International Airport
Watch: I bought this watch at a small men’s store in Montecito but I’ve just found it for you here. For $42, I’ve really worn it more than any other watch I own. It’s the definition of utility. I’m wearing it with my Dorsey lab-grown diamond bezel bracelet.

On occasion I may use an affiliate link in a post and receive a very small percentage of a sale linked through this site.
May seem boring, but I love seeing what women I admire wear to just there regular everyday places- airport, school drop off. Because the reality is this is the majority of what our lives consist of and the where that I'm usually dressing for too. If I had to just buy one black boxy/ men's fit somewhat cost effective first blazer, what would be your rec?
I like your simple approach to substack, Meg. I feel like we are being bombarded with things to buy -- who honestly has the time and money to shop that much, or need that much in their closets. Keep doing you. I asked on IG the style/size of your Longchamp tote. Do you happen to remember? Thank you 💛 Maria
