Hi Megan I bought the black croc too because I love loafers and 70's vibe and you have great taste so trust you. I cannot believe the time you put into the links and info then going back and answering everyone's questions. Jesus lady charge us and charge us big. It's worth it.
Charmaine! Life is short. It's genuinely nice to know that there is another human on the other side of the screen (it really is). What's the point of technology if you don't connect with people. Thank you so much for being a loyal client! I'm so delighted to hear that you love your piece. x Meg
Thank you so much. I really hoped to avoid it but in the end I was faced with the option to stop writing this substack or charge a small fee. I really appreciate all of your support! x
Thank you for creating this space - it’s the pick me up I need every week! And your recs are always spot on! The loafers are my fave - she can do no wrong!!!
Hi Tracy! Can't wait to hear what you think. I really loved meeting Jamie. I literally couldn't wait to wear mine so I was delighted to do a Saturday morning drive to pick them up. x Meg
YES! Jamie's loafers are the absolute best – I love the Jutti slippers, too. So good of you to identify them for everyone and shine your light on such a special designer.
If you have a narrow foot I might try TTS! I don't think my foot is wide but a friend who has them told me that her narrow foot fit TTS better. I wouldn't say that my foot is wide, however, so you might be able to make both sizes work. x Meg
Shari, my two cents (I ordered a 39 per JH's sizing reco) and I'd say it's still tight for someone with a more narrow/normal foot (definitely not wide). It's a lovely leather that will probably stretch with time, but if you haven't purchased yet, might be worth considering! And now the 40 is out of stock so I shall have to patiently wait. :)
This is not a light rec. I think I've tried on every single loafer that has ever been created and I just sold my Gucci's in exchange for these two. Stiff loafers have never worked well for me but these fit like a glove! x Meg
All Gucci loafers pulled out of NYC closet, packed in suitcases.. on their way to consign at Left bank in LA.. they just cannot beat the JH for comfort .. & have marched me through all the things
Thank you so much, Jessica! I really appreciate your kind words and the feedback. Sometimes I'll write this column and think to myself before hitting send that I'm not sure who will even read it. You've made my day! x Meg
I did! 40 was perfect for me even though I'm normally a size 39. I like my loafers to be roomy. 39 fit but more like a classic Gucci loafer (less worn in and casual).
These are divine. I didn’t realize how much I needed a loafer until I snagged the suede pair from your Bazaar article. Maybe I also need the croc pair. 🐊
If you’re taking notes for upcoming WIPOT- I’d love more curtain-pulling-back regarding how you get dressed. Ie: proportions, how you approach investing in your closet, technical styling tips and the “why” behind driving cross town for things ;-)
Thank you, Jen! Pulling back the curtain is coming soon. I'm working my way through how to do this in real time. Re: a 45 minute drive for these loafers...every year they sell out really fast, and last year I couldn't find them anywhere. I ended up trying on a ton of other styles that never fit my foot quite right. After waiting a year for them to come back I just couldn't risk losing them (I also wanted to wear them this week!). I've spent the last three months selling most of my closet so I'm down to a dew pairs of shoes I love. Only things I wear again and again and again. It's so nice to meet you! Here for the feedback (don't hold back). x Meg
Megan, I’m poised to do a wardrobe sell-off & (to that end) just lugged 4 Rimowa trunks of very beautiful .. but how many amazing wool Italian pants & Gucci loafers & every possible version of recent denim etc etc does one want to manage/house .. etc 🫣.. do you mind recommending a strategy that worked for you for high-end resale? I’m in process of photographing.. I may be too nomadic to do Vestiaire or Poshmark .. & I’m now in LA ..so if you can shine a light into that little warren, I’d appreciate it..
also selling off great furniture.. but found a dealer in NYC & most of that grand & equally annoying situation is East coast 💤💤💤⭕️❌⭕️⭕️
Hi Stefanie! It’s called the Left Bank & it’s on Fletcher. Funny little parking on crystal behind. Jaquie who owns is so lovely & they’ll purchase things or more $$ things you may consign. Both ways = store credit or Venmo (4 consignment u get Venmo when it sells). Process is so easy.. & it’s a cute community so I feel like my clothes are going to new loving owners 🥰🥰 I highly recommend for most stuff. Still use TRR for “barely worn/should have probably returned Italian designer stuff” bc I know it will sell fast. But for more niche (toteme, even new miu miu, Bode, their customer base love & my consignments sell right away. XO happy to help!!
Love this Substack and will definitely subscribe and keep reading as you have the absolute BEST recommendations! My new favorite straw bag from Maison NH Paris was from you. 😊 Question - with the paid, would you ever do a closet tour or snapshot of sections of your closet? I’m always curious. And now adding the brown crocs to my list

Gladly upped to paying subscriber. Grateful for all the work and love you put here!

Yes .. we are so ready to support! It’s September 1st!
Totally get it! Once I started doing lots of research and linking and writing regularly, I did the same. Yours is 10000% worth it. Thank you. XO
Thank you for creating this space - it’s the pick me up I need every week! And your recs are always spot on! The loafers are my fave - she can do no wrong!!!
This is so kind of you to say! Thank you so (so) much. x Meg
Just bought the black crock in what I’m sure will be my first of many. Thank you!
Hi Tracy! Can't wait to hear what you think. I really loved meeting Jamie. I literally couldn't wait to wear mine so I was delighted to do a Saturday morning drive to pick them up. x Meg
I’ve been eyeing these for awhile and this has me fully convinced 🤍
Let me know what you think! They're really soft (the opposite of a stiff loafer, which never worked well for my once broken foot). x
Most comfortable shoes ever & then one ends up doing a full shoe purge so it’s terrific
Agree! 3 pairs of hers but not all loafers.
YES! Jamie's loafers are the absolute best – I love the Jutti slippers, too. So good of you to identify them for everyone and shine your light on such a special designer.
I just adore her! And her shoes! x
Hi Megan, is your The Row sweater the Ophelia sweater?
Hi Shari, it is! It runs very large (this is size small but I wish I had the XS). x
Also, I have a more narrow foot are you sure I should size up from 39 to 40?
If you have a narrow foot I might try TTS! I don't think my foot is wide but a friend who has them told me that her narrow foot fit TTS better. I wouldn't say that my foot is wide, however, so you might be able to make both sizes work. x Meg

Thank you so much for the info! ❤️ hope you don’t have to wait too long!
Great article, I am convinced! What is your third pair of Jamie Haller loafers? Croc black and brown and ?
Hi Maggie! I have oxblood (they came out last year), brown croc and black croc. x
Been looking for loafers and boy, do I love these!

Love it! I really enjoy read you. Thank you for your stunning picks

YESSS love everything Jamie makes, especially her loafers!
She is so talented! I've worn her summer sandals so much this year that they feel like a second skin. x
Love them so much! I’ve had a tough time on size. Did you take a 40 from your usual 39?
I did! 40 was perfect for me even though I'm normally a size 39. I like my loafers to be roomy. 39 fit but more like a classic Gucci loafer (less worn in and casual).
Also so sorry to bother but in the JK sweats did you take oatmeal or light grey pretty please? The color is perfection!
Thank you so much!

Oh, also: 2nd hand strategy ✔️❤️

Telling me something might sell out is my ❤️ language.
They really do go fast! I found them a few months too late last year and would have given my left arm for them. I couldn't find a pair anywhere.

What is the place on Frogtown? 🙏🏻

Ok but, do I get oxblood or brown croc??? 😅
If you wear more neutrals I love the brown croc. If you opt for busier prints I'd do oxblood (they're a new neutral, in my opinion!). x
Brown croc / neutral girl all the way! Xx
Do you really recommend sizing up? I’m a true 7 1/2 and their website recommends sizing down to a 7. Now I’m so confused what to order.
