Loved this - you’ve nailed layering! I also use Pinterest for inspo on new ways to work my existing wardrobe. I’ve literally just pulled out all my jeans for a try on session and get some ideas on how to style them up for my week ahead.

I’d forgotten how well those Shon pants work w the puddle boot (my old shon are pale green) & just last week I off-loaded my BRIGHT pink puddlers as part of a giant 10-bag UES buh-bye Felicia purge .. I’ve already requested (meekly) a few things back that haunted my dreams … & now in the dark deluge of this LA downpour I’m a few finger-taps away from a quick inquiry as to whether they might include my bright pink Loewe boots in the “return to Deborah the impulsive consigner pile”
The vision of the faded pale aqua green w the pink boots is pretty dreamy (& those cuffs do NOT get wet!!!)
Hi Kristin! I did size up. Normally I'm a 4 but these are a 6. After I had my daughter I don't really like anything to fit me tightly around the waist. My rec is to go up one size (they don't stretch - which is great)! x

Thank you so much, Kelly. Contrary to what may be a popular belief (I'm not sure!) I actually don't enjoy shopping. I much prefer to wait to find things I love and then keep them for years. For me, it just works better for my real life (of living in / working in / and parenting in clothes) x
I admit that most of my inspiration comes from street style of actresses. I love Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lawrence. I also like to look historical at Cindy Crawford airport looks. I searched those and saved a few and now Pinterest loads those types of pins into my homepage 🙊
i have a huge style/outfit pinterest board that then has a bunch of mini-boards within it for outfits i like with pieces similar in cut/style to ones i own that i then turn to when i want to wear that piece - eg i have a knee length sleeveless wool vest/dress that i have some of the original product pics for but also a ton of other sleeveless long coat outfits saved, so when i was not sure how to wear it when j first got it i would just scroll until i felt a spark. i also have some specific ppl (olsens, katie holmes) who have boards. also recently got into looking at getty images of 80s/90s fashion shows - they show more of the audience/vibe than vogue pics i think, really fun!

I re-read Atomic Habits at the first of every year and learn something new every time. It's SO GOOD.
