Dear Reader,
How are you?
It is 9:51 p.m. and I am taking a break from 2024 planning to write this substack.
It feels worth mentioning that I don’t post content for the sake of posting content. I have never felt a pull towards sharing for the sake of sharing (and I try to keep any links on instagram to a minimum - I’ve always preferred to create “opt in” spaces for links). I feel immense pressure to do right by you. To highlight only pieces I wear and love.
I created this substack publication as a space to share things I’d text a friend. To those of you who pay to subscribe, and who are reading this now, I want to bring you a thoughtful edit. By design, edits take a fair amount of time and thought, and it’s perspective that I personally love about individual substacks. The $6 you contribute to this space every month keeps it nearly ad free. So you can be sure that anything I suggest or share is something I genuinely love (and typically own and have bought myself). I’m continually surprised by how much time posting to substack takes. And I have some ideas for the substack team that I’m excited to share with them soon (I was invited to speak at an All Hands at substack this Thursday but had to cancel due to a Dorsey conflict). I love what substack is building and their team is incredibly impressive. I’m creating this space with substack for a reason. I genuinely look forward to seeing what they’re building next for creators (and I’m delighted to be spending less time on instagram, too).
Which brings me to these $54 kicks I wore all October.
