Dear Reader,
Above any other type of bag, I always prefer a day clutch, especially in warmer weather. Small. Easy to grab on the way out the door. Throw your keys and headphones in and show up to your next meeting exactly 30 seconds early. Unexpected. Cool. And light.
During a late night exploration of leather bags without logos I found (and bought) this Porto Clutch in Cognac. She arrived a few days later. Well made bags are particularly hard to find.
My new everyday companion.

This is not a paid feature and I did not work directly with Porto for this column. While this bag is available using affiliate links on other sites I want to support this brand directly and so I am only linking to their eCommerce site (no affiliate links have been used in this post). I have no association with this brand and I want to be clear that I’m a customer (not a partner).

What size Porto did you get? I got the largest size (Novella) in Cognac and I love it, but it’s still very small. I keep it in my classic Cuyana tote from waaaay back and use it for my phone and maybe a lip balm or one small other item. I live in NYC, so still need a tote going all over and on the subway. I’m no minimalist, but also not a maximalist (as I need lightweight bags). Personally, I feel it’s best used as a pouch, not really a clutch (so nothing falls out) as it doesn’t have a clasp (or, get the strap). I still plan to get another color in the same size but will also get with the strap to keeps items inside safe.
I just ordered the vino rosso. Love it. Thank you for sending our way......
