Dear Reader | A November Note
In Los Angeles the leaves are falling, my daughter is on day 16 of her first cold this fall, and I am mostly at my desk working on the close of the last two months of the year at Dorsey.
When I started this newsletter last February, I wasn’t sure where I was going to go with it, and over time it has taken on a life of its own. Today, I’m excited to share with you that over the next few months you’ll notice some changes here. Mainly, I’ll be walking away from using my own name as the publication name and I’ll be replacing it with a new one. I’ve never thought that my personal style could carry this forever, and it’s always made me uncomfortable that is has to date, so I’ll be expanding past the things I wear to share more with you from my general perspective on style as a whole. This column is my little side project, and I’ve finally figured out what to do with this space, I hope you’re going to like it.
More to share on that soon. In the meantime, I’ll be doing my best to post more often here, and I’ll be starting a daily substack “thread” with photos of what I put on in a more casual sense (along with links). Expect more short posts, which I can now do from the comfort of my phone, tied together with low res iPhone imagery. I’ve just tried using instagrams broadcast channel but I think the alerts are a little much for people who follow it and I’d really like the ability to be able to talk to the people who join the channel. Substack “chat threads” allow me to do just that (readers can comment and engage with other people in the “chat thread”). If you’ve not joined substack chat yet, you’ll need to opt in, or you won’t see the updates.
As always, I’ll tell you that you don’t need anything I post here, but if you’re looking for something similar perhaps these columns will point you in the right direction or inspire you to go another route altogether.
The future of this substack is personal style (by season) from the perspective of HOWARD (a substack publication).
All my very best,
